Education:
- Girls from the age of 10 joined the Hitler Youth
- From 14 they entered the German Girls' League. They were taught their role was as a good wife and mother and their place was in the home-the three k's: kinder kuche kirche (children, cooking, kitchen)
Marriage:
- 1933:Law for the Encouragement of Marriage which gave newly weds a government load of 1000 marks. This encouraged them to have children
- 1934: 10 commandments for choice of spouse which encouraged people fitting the German Ideal to marry and keep race pure
Physical Constraints:
- Not allowed to wear make-up, have hair dyed or have perms
