3 types of language

ambiguous language - lots of images and desciption in the poem are ambigous - we're not sure what they mean. This is often delibrate - supposed to make us stop and think abou what the poem means

"on their own and both at once" suggests that trust exercise and jacket are related

"father figure" usually this would sound protective but the darkness makes us uncertain 

colour - most of the images in the  poem are dark and shadowy reinforcing the vague and uncertain nature of the poem. The bright yellow colour of jacket stands out

"canary - yellow cotton…
