Middle Ages

The Middle Ages was then the Roman Empire collapsed and Britain was taken over by Angles and Saxons who couldn't read or write.

The Middle Ages was full of regression because the Angles and Saxons thought the aqueducts were built by evil giants so they destroyed the whole public health system set up in the Roman Times. 

The Church became in charge and the belief in supernatural ideas came back and because no one could read Galens ideas were no longer in practice. However, people still discussed Hippocrates idea of The 4 Humours.

However, there was slight progression when the church allowed universities to be set up to teach Galens ideas, methods and theories.
