War Guilt

Germany had to accept blame for the war, and accept responsibility for causing all the loss and damage. This meant they had to follow the treaty's rules. 

Military Resitrictions 

There were very tight restrictions on Germany's armed forces. They had no air force, limited men and no conscription. No tanks or submarines, limited navy and size and number of naval ships.
