Prehistoric = the period before history was recorded, starting aound 500,000 years ago. prehistoric medicine is medicine before anything was writte down. 

Evidence from the prehistoric times:

Since there is no written evidence of medicine or lifestyles in general of the prehistoric times, any evidence comes from the remains of dead bodies and the remains of what these people made. 

Disease: Skeletons show that prehistoric people suffered from many of the same diseases that people suffer from today (bone cancer).

Medicine: Cave paintings show images of a man with antlers on his head, which some historians believe is a medicine man.

Surgery: Evidence of trephinning has been found in prehistoric skulls all over the worl. trephinnig is a surgical procedure still used today taht involves cutting out a piece of a person's skull. Prehistoric people may have
