1000 convicted criminals landed in 1788. It was an extremely tough life due to harsh treatment from free settlers and British military.
Currency- Children of convicts, due to having a more basic nutritious diet, manual labour and a favorable climate for outdoor activity. They were lower in the social hierarchy. Also know as the 'cornstalks' due to physicality.
Sterling- Children born in the motherland to free settlers. They were much more well off and higher in social hierarchy.
