When we consider how useful a source is we need to think about who produced it, when it was produced and why.

No source is perfect and there will always be ways that it is more useful and ways that it is less useful.

For example Aristotle was Greek - useful because we are studying the Greeks but less useful because it may be one sided (i.e too supportive of the Greeks) also he was a philosopher - a person who studies ideas about knowledge, truth, the nature and meaning of life, etc. This makes it more useful (reliable)
