The "War of the Roses" (1455-85) - there was a civil war between the Houses of Lancaster and York. The throne changed 6 times during this period. Led to a downfall in the authority of the Crown.
Population of England was merely 2.5 million in 1500. Small population for its time.
Agrarian society = 90% of the main exports were wool and cloth.
Only Cambridge and Oxford existed: "behind the time". Henry VII was tight…
