Healthcare systems:

The USA: The healthcare system in the USA consists of people paying for their own treatment, or they pay for insurance from insurance companies to pay for anything that they need on a medical basis. However some people cannot afford healthcare therefore making the USA healthcare system PLURALISTIC

Advantages:

- 1/4 of people do have healthcare (250 million people)

- Medicare = to provide very basic medical care to the poor elderly 

-Medicaid = to provide medical care for the poor 

Disadvantages:

- People have to pay for drugs that they require to survive and they are very costly 

- 44 million people do not have healthcare

-Poor/old people are forced to work past the age that they should be in order to afford drugs that they need to stay alive
