1. Who is it for? How old is the patient? (adult/child)

  • Head lice affect all ages, but much more common in children aged 4-11, especially girls.

2. What are the symptoms?

  • Any itching?
  • Are there any flakes present on the scalp? If so it could be dandruff.
  • Any yellow scales or crusts? If so it could be seborrhoeic dermatitis.

3. Have any live or dead lice been seen? What do they look like?

  • 3mm long and greyish-white or brown in colour.

4. Any empty egg shell or nits been found?

  • Nits are creamy coloured empty egg cases that remain firmly attached to hair shafts. They are
