The Devil: Satan

• Some Christians believe that there is evil in the world because of the Devil (Satan)
• Believed to be the enemy of God
• Tries to turn away humanity from goodness
• Satan was created good but then got jealous and fought against god instead of being obedient
• Devil was disguised as a serpent and tempted Adam and Eve to do wrong and eat from God's tree of the knowlede of good and evil
• In the book of Job Satan causes him lots of suffering but job did not give up his faith
• He tried to temp Jesus before he began his teaching to worship…
