Godden and Baddeley 1975

Aim:

To see whether words are remembered better when recalled in the same environment than a different one

Procedure:

18 divers were given word lists to learn

These were learnt either on the beach or 15ft underwater

They recalled the words in the same location and then a new list in another location

Participants were given a recognition test to remove any differences between
