Globalisation - The process by which people, goods, money, cultures and information can be transferred between other countries with few or no barriers. This process helps countries to be more closely linked.

The Gambia would be classed as a "loser" country as it is poorly connected to the rest of the world due to its and lacks physical and human resources.

Bad points:

  • GDP per capita has dropped from $320 to $290 - this worsens the already struggling economy and puts people in harsh positions as they cannot afford to buy necessities such as medicine, food etc.
  • The Gambia is dependent on aid for development which will in turn decrease the amount of development as they cannot afford it…
