GLOBALISATION – S&D
PARAGRAPH 1:
Robinson argues that globalisation has produced a new global elite, dominant class or inner circle – the transnational capitalist class (TCC). The TCC share similar lifestyles, patterns of higher education and are willing to form strategic alliances. They also seek to protect their interests through global organisations such as the world bank, IMF, the G20 and other transnational associations. The TCC is linked to offshoring – moving resources illegally.

PARAGRAPH 2:
Castell: knowledge as well as goods is more global. It is well known which countries have weak law enforcement due to the development of networks. Castell estimates that the global crime economy is worth 2 million – growth in the North has driven this change.
