Germany started out with a monarchy, which was the kaiser who was the king. the political system set up went as followed

reichstag 

this was important because the kaiser elected the chancellor and the chancellor controlled the reichstag but the reichstag had no political gain or power until later on in time, they could discuss laws but werent allowed to make decisions about them. 

Kaiser Wilhelm II

In 1888, the 29-year-old Wilhelm became Kaiser. He was easily persuaded by his friends and landowners and business people who were higher up in social status. he was very motivated to get Germany an empire and was obsessed with the navy and therefore invested a lot of money in buying new ships. by 1913 Germany was producing as much iron and steel as Britain and they dominated europe with this industrialisation. he was in the triple alliance…
