    • The Trade wind blows from sub-tropical areas with High Pressure (sinking air) towards the equator where there is Low Pressure (rising air).

i thought there was a monsoon desert as well?

there is. i think monsoon is seasonal rain. there are deserts on the side of monsoon rain. the  sw brings rain and the north east brings dry weather
