urbanisation= an increase in the propotion of people living in urban areas.
CBD= central business district which contains:
shops.
the town hall.
train/bus station.
square.
church.
high rise offices.
resterants/bars/clubs.
banks.
inner city= old terrice housing and a high population density.
suburbs= on the edge of town, could be big shopping complexes and sport stadiums.
rural urban fringe= part countryside and part city.
sustainable= can be used without damaging future generations.
carbon nuetral= this is when the amount of energy taken for electricity etc is no greater than the amount of carbon given back via renewable energy.
brownfield site= an area that has been used previously such as an old factory.
greenfield site= an area that has not previously been used such as a field.
