Gene technology - the use of DNA- genes to produce something we want

Genome- all the genes possessed by an individual or by a group of organisms 

Sequecing the genome of an organism 

1) Multiple copies of the DNA are made by using PCR

2) All of the DNA is squeezed through a tiny hole under pressure, this breaks it down up to about 2000 base pairs long. 

3) The DNA strand are mixed with DNA Polymerase a Primer a normal DNA nucleotides with some nucleotides being labelled by attaching a fluorescent dye to them.
