Genetic engineering – essentially means to move useful genes from one organism’s chromosomes to the cells of another

1)     Restriction enzyme – recognises the specific sequence of DNA and cuts out the DNA at this point

2)     Ligase enzyme – joins two pieces of DNA together

3)     Recombinant DNA – Two different pieces of DNA joined together
