Female peak age of offending = 15. Male = 17. Different crimes for each gender.
Explanation 1: Socialisation. Roles they are socialised into may lead them into more or less crime. HEIDENSOHN: Women socialised into taking responsibilities for domestic tasks and staying at home more whereas men are aggressive & dominant.
