Gender and education
there are 3 diffrent catorgories for gender diffrences in education these are:
- subcultures
- external factors
- internal factors
the subcultures includes Mac an Ghaill who investigated the crisis of masculinity leading the males in education to create 4 types of subcultures.
- macho lads - reject norms and values
- academic achievers - achieved more in education
- new enterprisers - pro school
- real english men - effortless achievement
subcultures also include Jackson - males adopted laddish behaviour, Deddy…
