Holderness coast - Coastline management:

The east coast of England around the area of Holderness, is one of the fastest eroding coastlines in Europe. We need to understand the process' that are taking place there and the actions that are being made to try and manage the coastline.

Flamborough head to Spurn point/head is called the Holderness coast.

It erodes fast becuase it is made up of soft boulder clay and this caused many places along the coast to be affected.

Barmston is a seaside village and has eroded 30m in the last 10 years, which has caused many people to loose thier property. 

This means many people in the village would have had to move, causing economic problems for families and businesses. (as their property would be worth
