The defendant is criminally liable for Maliciously Wounding and/or Causing Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) with intent found under Section 18 of the Offences Against the Persons Act 1861.

This is Maliciously Wounding or Causing Grievous Bodily Harm with intent to cause GBH or with intent to resist or prevent the lawful apprehension of any person. 

The Actus Reus is Proof of GBH (Serious Harm) or Wounding. (Same as S.20, Smith, Saunders)
