CIRCULAR MOTION - VELOCITY is constantly changing

  • VELOCITY is both the speed and direction of an object
  • If an object is travelling in a circle then it is CONSTANTLY CHANGING DIRECTION - therefore CONSTANTLY ACCELERATING
  • This means there must be a force acting upon it - this force always acts toward the centre of the circle
