Forming and Using Reflexive Verbs in the Present Tense

Reflexive verbs are verbs that reflect the action back onto the subject. (For example 'I wash myself') The verb 'to wash' is reflected back to yourself.

Forming Reflexive verbs in the Present Tense:

Reflexive verbs have an additional 'reflexive pronoun'. Here is an example with 'se laver' meaning 'to wash'.

  • Je me lave
  • Tu te laves
  • Il/Elle/On se lave
  • Nous nous lavons
  • Vous vous lavez
