Methods Of Calculating g -

Stopwatch -

Drop a ball for a set height and record the time taken for it to reach the ground, then use SUVAT to calculate the g. S will be the height the ball was dropped from, U will be 0 and T will be the time recorded on the stopwatch. Then rearrange the equation S = UT + 0.5 * A * T^2 to get A = 2S / T^2. A will be equal to gravity.

Electromagnet Circuit -

Setup a circuit that includes an electromagnet, switch, electronic timer and a trapdoor so that when a switch is flicked a ball is dropped from the electromagnet and the timer is started then the the timer is stopped when the ball falls through the trapdoor. Measure the height
