Fitness and Blood Pressure

There is a distinct difference between being fit and being healthy. Being healthy is being free of any diseases and infections whereas being fit is how well physical tasks can be performed. Fitness isn't a precise term, it can be measured in various ways. Fitness profiles measure strength, speed, agility and flexibility combined with stamina. And stamina is a good indicator of cardiovascular efficiency, which can be tested by measuring blood pressure and oxygen intake during exercise. 

Blood is pumped around our bodies by contractions of the heart, the pressure of the blood is increased by these contractions. The blood leaves the heart and flows through the arteries, which split into thousands of capillaries which distribute blood to every cell in the body.
