Findings and Conclusions: Asch

Findings:

• Asch found that whenever the confederates give correct answers, then the naive participant makes errors less than 1% of the time
• however, when the confederates give an incorrect answer like they did druing the critical trials, then the naive participant makes an error about 36.8% of the time
• Asch found that only about 25% didn't conform therefore, about 75% of the participants did conform.
• it was found that group size mattered because when they is just one confederate in the group then the naive participant doesn't feel under pressure…
