FABRICS ARE MADE IN THREE STEPS:

1. SPINNING the fibres into yarns

2. WEAVING or KNITTING the yarns into fabrics

3. FINISHES are applied to the fabrics to give certain qualities

STAPLE fibres are short in their length, mainly natural fibres are staple

FILAMENT fibres are generally all manufactured fibres, however some fibres can be cut to give the same effect as staple fibres give
