  • Critical view of the family
  • Oppresses women
  • Unequal division of labour
  • Domestic violence towards women
  • Gender inequality created by society
  • There are 3 versions of Feminism.

1) Liberal Feminism

  • Campaign against sexual discrimination and for equal rights and opportunities for women.
  • Women's oppression is gradually being defeated due to changes in society such as changes in the Law. e.g. Sex Discrimination Act (1975)
  • Man are doing more manual work.
  • Children or both sexes are being socialised with equality. Encouraged to aspire for the same achievements.

2) Marxist Feminists

  • Say the main problem is capitalism.

-Woman reproduce he labour force.
-Unpaid domestic work, socialising the next generation of workers.

  • Woman absorb anger
