Laws and customs= women may be controlled through cultural norms for example genital mutilation and sexual transgressions. Women's domestic and reproductive role maybe controlled e.g. catholic church aim to ban abortion and artifical contraception

Organisations= they still are very patriarchy, for example the catholocism, judaism and orthodox do not allow female priests
