Feminists would criticise the patriarchal nature of the statistics. This is similar to a Marxist critique in that the definitions and workings of the process of law-enforcement benefit the powerful. However, in this case the powerful are men and they can minimise their criminality through, for example, the limited punishments given in **** cases.
