Feminist View 

• Involves two concepts, Sex and Gender 
• Sex refers to the biological differences between men and women, should not affect their general status 
• Gender is the difference in cultural and economic status between men and women 
• Pre feminist societies linked gender and sex in order to portray women as inferior and seen as the less dominant sex, feminists dispute this 
• Also have public and private spheres of opression, public with voting etc., private to do with more family and individual matters 

Liberal Feminist View 

• Accept sex differences but reject gender differences, women should be free to fulfill the same gender roles…
