  • how crisis is dealt with
  • strength of the opposition
  • how well they use their formal power

THERESA MAY (2016-2019):

  • found it impossible to control the cabinet
  • kept breaking CCR - making her appear weak
  • doesn't have a dominating/charismatic personality - lacked charisma
  • she had 2 bad spin doctors (Nick Timothy, Fiona Hill)
  • she had a majority when she was elected, but lost her majority after the election
