  care should be taken when drawing conclusions from both studies because of the limited variety of studies used. Over half of the 32 studies carried out were in the US, where as only one was carried out in China with only a limited sample of 36 infants. 27 were carried out in individualistic cultures and only 5 in collectivist cultures.
