Evaluating Conformity to Minority Influence

  • It is suggested that individuals who are exposed to an argument that is different to their own are likely to develop conflict. Conversion theory assumes that individuals are motivated to reduce conflict and will therefore try to understand why the minority's arguments are not the same as the majority.
