Enzymes and Digestion

Bile:

• It is produced in the liver.
• It is stored in the ball bladder before being released in the small intestine. 

It has 2 functions:

• It neutralises the acid - it is added to food in your stomach - it produces alkaline conditions where there enzyme works best
• It breaks down large drops of fat into small drops of fats - it enables the lipase to work faster
