ENZYMES

Enzymes help our reactions take place. They work best at their optimum temperature (our body temperature), and will stop working if we get too hot.

They are a biological catalyst made of building blocks of proteins. They are reaction specific, and if temperatures rise too high, they will denature (change shape) and then they won't work.
