The narrative itself is first person perspective and the title represents continuous tense and ongoing pain and suffering that the narrator endures. Alliteration is also used in the title, signifying the importance in the title.

The beginning starts with a rhetorical question, 'why did you give no hint that night', the tragedy within the beginning stanza is that he is asking his loved one 'why', but the narrator is aware that his loved one will not reply. He uses beautiful imagery to describe her as a 'wing of swallow', this suggests that the narrator was infactuated with her and cared about her.
