Context
- Large gap between rich and poor.
- Victorian families were large due to high birth rates and increasing life expectancy.
- Working class families lived in dirt and misery.
- They barely had enough money to buy food and child mortality was very high
- There was no healthcare so if you go ill and couldn't work, your whole family was at a risk of dieing.
- A lot of children didn't go to school but worked to earn money…
