"what language barrier": its not just the fact that its to do with gender but also to do with power over each other. Still live in a male dominated society which people pretend to not notice. Overall difference made by gender is small or close to zero.

"are grammar nazis ruining the english lanaguage?"rules of langauge is only defined by how people use that lanaguage. many rules of language is obvious. "none" is a myth that it is always singluar. English has 200 irregluar verbs. Dialects are proof that langauge changes. 

"what will the english language be like in 100 years?"Latin was kept alive until it changed which formed new dialects such as french spanish etc. english is mixed in with other native tongues and pronunciations. "spanglish" spanish and english is a common native tongues in the united states. to speak english will have to speak US english. Estuary english taking over in younger generations. 

"have we literally broken the english language""literally" is the most misused word and has offically changed definiton. talking like a teenage girl. 

"yes we are judged on our accents": people should not feel the need to neutrlise their accents to get ahead. Does the taboo exist? regional slang can didcate what you say. not just an english thing. 

"do accents matter in modern day britain?": accentism which is discrimmination against people by how they speak. Change accents to fit in. Changing your accent can undermine your sense of being. make themselves understood. 

"the death of dialect? dont believe a word of it": the death of dialect is greatly exaggerated. 20 years since estuary english was coined. 1,500 words are dialect words in the english wordbank. "mardy" been popularised. "owt" in old english.dialect words can show the roots of where that person has come from. younger generations not using words parents did- killing of dialect. langauge is constantly changing. 

"why are schools trying to wipe out regional accents?":  teaches are adopting middle class accents. middle class becoming more powerful in terms of accents. northern accents. pronunciation was too common. 

"art of the one liner: wit and grit for a deadly hit": one liners have become cliches. sarcasm and a bitchy tone. 

"from seaspeak to singlish: celebrating other kinds of english": dialects that blend, bend and offend are oftern a delight. britons should have more oppotunities to learn other languages to create social cohesion. multi-cultural english has taken over cockney. 

"in praise of the c-word": shocking to see the word written down instead of saying it outloud. first used as a word to describe a ladys undercarrage. used to describe inanimate objects. american english it is very taboo. changed massively from its original roots. harsher to hear women say it than men. 

"capital letters out, swearwords in": people dont use capital letters as much as swearing now a days. capital letters are being forgotten about.
