Aerobic exercise uses oxygen for energy production. It is used in activities of long duration and moderate pace, such as long distance running.
Anaerobic exercise does not use oxygen in energy production. It is used in activities of high intensity and very short duration, such as 100 - metre sprinting or shot put.
Fats are an energy soure for aerobic activity as they require oxygen to break down into glucose and slowly give large qualities of energy.
