Electrolysis

Electrolysis is the breaking down of a substance using electricity. 

Electrolysis is done in molten or dissolved ionic compounds. 

For Electrolysis to work, there must be a flow of electrons. 

Anode = Positive

Cathode = Negative

Aqueous Solutions of Electrolysis: 

• There are hydrogen ions (H+)       ] From the
• There are hydroxide ions (OH-)     ] Water
