Climate change can have a negative effect on both a local and global scale.
Changing crop yields- The countries closest to the equator are most likely to be suffering from climate change as their crop yields will change due to longer periods of drought and shorter growing seasons. They could also lose almost a third of their maize crop. There will also be a decrease of land available to grow crops because of hotter and drier weather.
