Education under Lenin 

• 1918 issued a decree that established unified labour schools to provide polytechnic education for all aged 8-17 
• Abolished corporal punishment,homework and exams
• Made education complusory
• Under NEP fees introduced to pay for primary and secondary education for all except poorest children,97% payed fees
• In first 18 months of NEP number of schoolchildren halved
