BOND ENTHALPY

Exothermic Reactions- Give energy -

Endothermic Reactions- Absorb energy +

Bond Making- Releases energy (Exothermic) -

Bond Breaking- Requires energy (Endothermic) +

ΔH  = H products - Hreactants (H=Energy)

(Δ = Change)

Specific Heat Capacity- The energy in joules (j) needed to raise the temperature of 1Kg of a substance by 1kelvin

E=mcΔT

E- Energy transfered

m- mass

c- specific heat capacity

ΔT- change in temperature

STANDARD ENTHALPY CHANGES

{STANDARD CONDITIONS= 298K temperature,
