- Cummings et al, Ghrelin > observed the changes in Ghrelin levels in the time between meals, 6 pts were used, levels were monitored after every meal, blood samples taken every 5 mins, pts assessed their degree of hunger every 30 mins

* Ghrelin levels fell immdeiately after eating lunch

* Began to rise as pts requested their evening meal

* In 5/6 pts, Ghrelin levels were closely correlated with the degree of hunger
