- Deep foundation, do that the structure moves with the foundations

- Japan now put rubber foundations, so it acts like a shock absorber

- Waterproof membrance to stop liqufication

- Counterweights on roof

- Steel crossbracing (1/3 more steel, much better reinfocrement of the concrete)

- Windows made out of safety glass, so if and when they shatter…
