DURKIEM PERSEPECTIVE ON EDUCATION
Fuctionalism is based on a consensus agreement amoung societys members. They believe in the organic analogy whereby functions such as education, family, religion etc help society run smoothy. Without these functions society would not be able to run and be what it is today. Functionalist also belive in a meritocracy, this means they believe that if you work hard in education who you will gain rewards and move up in society gaining money, power, land etc.
