Digestion
Digestion converts large insoluble molecules into small soluble molecules so thay they can be absorbed into the blood stream.
Digestive Organs
- Mouth - breaks up food by chewing and carbohydrases in the mouth break down starch.
- Stomach - Produces protease and lipase. Acid in the stomach kills bacteria
- Pancreas - All 3 digestive enzymes are produced here (protease, carbohydrase and lipase). However they act in the small intestine
- Small Intestine - Digestion is completed by carbphydrase. All food is absorbed…
